When it comes to intestinal eubiosis we want to indicate a condition of well-being linked to the presence of a correct saprophytic bacterial flora in the intestine. Intestinal eubiosis is nothing more than that condition of good balance and proper functioning of the microbiota in the intestine. We talk about intestinal eubiosis because it is closely linked to this organ, of course, and to the intestinal microbiota. The microbiota is an assembly of ecological niches which in turn contain entire populations of micro organisms able to coexist with each other. What are they for? Mainly this diverse population of organisms serves to limit attacks by pathogenic species, allowing the maintenance of the functions of the intestine which consist ofabsorb nutrients, in producing fatty acids and in degrading foreign substances.

Just to get an idea of ​​the amount of micro organisms we are talking about, let's take into account that the microbiota it is made up of a number of bacteria equal to 6 times the total number of cells that make up the entire human body and at least four million different types of bacteria. The eubiosis it is the state in which coexistence is peaceful and the roommates live in close and mutualistic contact with the intestinal mucosa.

The microbiota is mainly concentrated in the colon and but it is not easy to define its average concentration because everything depends on many internal and external factors that can also vary from person to person. Let's name a few to give a face to the populations of bacteria we are talking about, so far remained anonymous. The main ones are i Bifidobacteria, Lactobacilli and Eubacterium. We mention these but it is not said that they are more important than others, it is the multiple and contemporary presence that ensures that all the essential functions are carried out, smoothly.

Eubiosis and dysbiosis

It goes without saying, reading these lines, that the balance between the various groups and subgroups of these bacteria is essential for our health, so at all costs we must ensure that our body reigns eubiosis and not the dysbiosis to which we mentioned earlier. In case of dysbiosis the problem is that the conditions for the proliferation of pathogenic germs can be created. In most of the dysbiosis a deficiency of lactobacilli may be noted. These are bacteria that form a natural "acid" barrier that inhibits the putrefactive germs and blocks their migration from the intestine to other areas.

The risk would be to contract infections vaginal, respiratory and even dental. When there is no bacteriological homeostasis, not always but sometimes, it could happen that a chain reaction is triggered that can lead to impaired intestinal permeability. This gives rise to the onset of allergy problems and autoimmune diseases. In case of dysbiosis the development of carcinogenic substances may occur, such as nitrosamines, normally rendered harmless by the presence of a sufficient amount of lactobacilli. Also with dysbiosis there may be an inability to produce adequate quantities of B vitamins and to assimilate calcium.

Intestinal eubiosis: cure

The first action is that which falls on the power supply, we must verify that we are following a healthy and regular diet. In any case, what is recommended is to reduce sugars and refined flours, even avoid excess carbohydrates with a high gluten content and excess consumption of dairy products. Green light instead for fruit and vegetables. If that's not enough, we can ask for help from probiotics, live microorganisms that when ingested allow them to exercise beneficial functions for the body to reform the intestinal mucosal barrier.
